Viking Drakar Wood Carving- Clearance Price
Viking long ship. Viking shipbuilding techniques enabled them to become a dominant force in medieval politics, trade and warfare. For three hundred years, the sight of a Viking longship off the horizon struck terror into medieval Europeans. Viking ships were pointed at both ends and wide in the middle. This design allowed the ships to navigate through shallow waters. Historical evidence indicates that the Vikings used a square or rectangular sail to power their ships which they likely colored blood red which was probably to instill fear in their adversaries.
